Car manufacturers issue warranties, and under those warranties, they promise to perform repairs, and they’re covered so long as it’s not something that you induce. But that doesn’t give them carte blanche and unlimited opportunities. If they can’t fix it within a reasonable number of repairs, you may have a lemon. You need to bring your car in within 3 years of purchase if your problems are bumper-to-bumper warranty, and within 5 years of purchase if you have powertrain, engine, or transmission problems.
