A Honda Accord hybrid recall has been issued for vehicle stalling risks after software issues have resulted in more than 800 warranty claims.
The recall affects more than 256,000 model year 2023–2025 Honda Accord hybrid vehicles. When software falsely detects an abnormality in the integrated control module (ICM) central processing unit (CPU), it may trigger an unexpected system reset and cause a loss of drive power. A sudden reset while the vehicle is in motion could increase the risk of a crash.1

Next Steps for Honda Accord Hybrid Owners
If your Honda Accord continues to experience issues after the recall repair, keep records of your previous repair visits and request another appointment to correct your vehicle problems. In the meantime, document any ongoing symptoms your vehicle experiences.
If your vehicle safety issues are still unresolved, we recommend submitting a report or complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Consumer complaints help NHTSA monitor ongoing, widespread vehicle issues, conduct vehicle defect investigations and order auto safety recalls if needed.
Widespread Honda vehicle issues such as infotainment popping noises, “sticky” electric power steering systems, Odyssey power tailgate problems, and defective DENSO fuel pump impellers have prompted massive recalls, auto defect lawsuits and successful lemon law buyback requests.
