Dodge Ram Lemon Law
Buyback Attorneys
Have a Dodge performance car or Ram pickup truck with repeated problems? Our Dodge lawyers and Ram attorneys can help.
For many years, Fiat Chrysler sold Dodge Ram pickup trucks under the Dodge brand name. The combined name is so well known that vehicle owners still ask “Is Ram Dodge?” and “When did Dodge and Ram split?’ The answer: Dodge Ram split into separate brands in 2010. While Dodge pivoted to performance cars such as the Durango, Charger and Challenger, Ram continued to produce the well-known Ram pickup truck series.
What Dodge and Ram continue to have in common is that, like many other manufacturers, they sometimes sell defective vehicles known as “lemons.” If your Dodge car or Ram truck has ongoing problems that remain unresolved by your dealership, our Dodge Ram attorneys at Lemon Law Help can help you get cash compensation, a vehicle replacement or a buyback under the California Lemon Law.

Current Dodge & Ram Vehicle Issues
Dodge And Ram UConnect Infotainment Defects
Fiat Chrysler had been subject to a class action lawsuit alleging electrical issues in 2017–2019 Chrysler Pacifica and 300 vehicles caused by its UConnect infotainment system. Despite this, Fiat Chrysler has continued equipping its vehicles with its potentially faulty UConnect infotainment display systems.
According to a new class action lawsuit, these UConnect Infotainment issues still persist in the following Dodge and Ram vehicles:
- 2022–2024 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500
- 2022–2024 Ram Chassis Cab
- 2022–2024 Ram ProMaster
- 2022–2024 Dodge Durango
- 2023–2024 Dodge Hornet
FCA UConnect infotainment problems include frozen display screens, distorted or lost backup camera images, disconnected phone calls, navigation dropping off, and Bluetooth syncing failures.

Ram eTorque Stalling Defect
Fiat Chrysler’s eTorque hybrid technology has been installed in Jeep and Ram vehicles with the advertised intent to enhance performance, efficiency and smoothness in propulsion and braking technologies.
However, a Ram eTorque system issue allegedly causes the vehicles to stall suddenly, shift to park automatically, and unexpectedly engage the brake. These Ram eTorque stalling incidents occur in many traffic conditions, such as ordinary driving, rush hour traffic and busy highways at higher speeds – putting Jeep and Ram drivers at risk of collision and injury.
The eTorque lawsuit includes 2019–2023 Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler and Wagoneer vehicles. If your 2020 or newer Ram 1500 experiences stalling issues that your dealership cannot seem to resolve, get a consultation with our Ram lemon lawyers.
Ram Power Steering Defect Lawsuit
A Ram power steering system lawsuit alleges that Fiat Chrysler equipped 2013–2024 Ram 1500 pickup trucks with defective electric power steering (EPS) systems that fail without warning.
According to the lawsuit, Ram 1500 drivers have little warning when their EPS system fails. When EPS failure occurs, Ram drivers are caught by surprise and have to increase their own steering efforts quite suddenly.
If a Ram 1500 driver does not react in time, the driver may lose control of their truck and experience an increased risk of a collision. Repair costs for faulty power steering systems range between $3,000 and $4,000 – repair costs that Fiat Chrysler allegedly avoids paying by claiming the vehicle defect is restricted to a smaller population of vehicles than is actually the case.
According to the lawsuit, Fiat Chrysler maintained that the EPS Unit steering issues were restricted to a few hundred 2016 Ram 1500 and 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles. A NHTSA investigation’s findings – based on more than 400 complaints – allegedly contradicts this claim.
Owners of several older model year Ram 1500 trucks may benefit from remaining in the existing class action lawsuit. However, the lemon law is still a viable option for 2020 or newer Ram 1500 truck owners. Just call our lemon law attorneys to ask how to opt out of a class action lawsuit and pursue a potentially much higher auto defect settlement. However, outcomes vary and are dependent on the facts of your case.
